g900h reset screenlock done ( but still locked )


1. Reconnect the battery.
2. Press and hold "Volume-" + "Home" + "Power ON" keys.
3. When phone turns on, press "Volume+" key.
Waiting for phone...
Firmware write started.
Writing Recovery section...
Recovery section has been written successfully.
Please, put the phone into Recovery Mode and connect USB cable.
To put SM-G900H into Recovery Mode, please, perform the following
steps:
1. Reconnect the battery.
2. Press and hold "Volume+" + "Home" + "Power ON" keys.
3. Release the "Power ON" key when the Samsung logo appears.
Searching for a phone. Please wait...
Can't kill external ADB references. Please, close all programs that use
ADB server.
Preparing phone..
Resetting Screen Lock...
Reset Screen Lock successfully completed.
To unlock screen please input any password or pattern!

Hello.

After "Reset Screen Lock" operation You need to draw new (any) pattern, or input new (any) password.

Disconnect all other devices from PC, re-boot the PC and try to repeat the operation once again. If this will not help - only Factory reset will help to reset "Screen Lock" in this device.

Does the phone needs to be rooted or if ADB must be on to remove the passcode? sometimes that we need to remove the password will not be rooted or adb enabled. will that still work?

In order, to perform "Reset Screen Lock" operation for SM-G900H, You need to switch the phone to Download Mode and connect it directly to PC via micro USB cable.
Additional configuration is not required.
