Hello, OCTOPUS SUPPORT, what happen with these N9005 Sw V. 4.4.2?

Have 4 devices and all 4 in same condition, always that connect UART cable remain in Search....

I've 6/7 Uart cables Different and all tested also with Octopus with other Devices like N7100 4.3 and more other, so no UART problem.

Have tryed with other BOX how Uart Interface but same problem...searchhhh phone....

Devices rootted Pefect and Knox disabled, but no one can unlock, here post Log of 1 of these N9005:

To connect SM-N9005 phone you have to perform the following steps:
1. Disconnect USB cable from phone. 
2. Go to Menu->Settings->More->About Device.
3.Tap on "Build number" 7 times to enable developer options.
4. Go to Menu->Settings->More->Developer options.
5. Turn on "USB Debugging" option.
6. Go to dial window.
7. Enter "*#0808#" number.
8. Select "DM+Modem+ADB".
9. Press Home button.
10. Go to dial window.
11. Enter "*#9090#" number.
12. Set "Diag config" to "USB" value.
13. Restart phone.

Hello.

There can be 2 reasons of the issue - problem with your cable or problem with COM port of your Box. Please try to use other Samsung Micro UART C3300k/C3303k cables with 523-525 kOhm resistor inside. Also try to use another Box as UART interface with cables, which You have.

Hello, i've done all Test possible.

- My original Octopus UART cable (RX-AT-170 REXTORE 530K), always worked very very good,

- Have build new One how Diagram, (Help in sw Uart Cable Pinout), with 525/30/36K resistor but same

- Used my Original Rextore 530k cable few days ago with other devices 4.3 vers. all OK

- Have connect only Octopus Card in P-Key Reader and Ns Pro how Interface with S7070 cable, (also this, always working), not ok

- Have open Octopus and cecked RJ45 Port, have bypassed this disconnecting this one and soldered other NEW RJ45 but same...now have restored Original RJ45 and Test whith other devices and work,

- Have changed many Fw 4.4.2, and in one N9005 have changed only "MODEM" Files becouse whith Original FW Imei/BB Unknown, changing CP(modem), other time Imei and Baseband ok, all others no issue with Fw,

- Issue isn't with only 1 piece of N9005 but are 4 and is impossible that 4 over 4 no one is working?...only N9005 other devices No issues....

Loock this game have done also with selecting N9005w8, (are same phones), with Unlock and after Restore "Security BKP", Imei is changed but no Signal:

What you think about it?, Please can write me what Fw you think is working or if can Upload one "Patch Modem" or abilite EFS Repair or Default Efs Button in sw for Unlocking/Imei Repair?

I've seen only 20% peoples good result but other 80% same issues, have all wrong UART CABLE? You know me that have helped many user but this time i think there's Issues with 4.4.2 Fw... in next update, (these days), put option in sw above or send Test Fw, thanks

Maybe the problem is with firmware. Need try to write different firmwares and test. We have tested many times different firmware on our phone and there were no any problems with UART connection. We will try to buy another SM-N9005 and test it.

I've all Bkp of these devices and can try testing other Fw, now i've tested only ITV, OXX Fw, not want to lost Baseband/Imei flashing Fw with wrong CP or CSC, that change Modem part, but is other test i want to do.

Please can you give me link of Fw that you or other customer have Flashed and Unlock/Repair gave successful?...i Test this fw and this time want try with 523k resistor, (with 525 no work), and if you can put EFS Repair in next Update i think it is very useful.

N9005 is International version.

Wait for Fw Link 4.4.2, 4.3 no issues, tx

Have repaired and Unlock others 5 pieces of N9005 all with Fw 4.4.2 KK, one thingh for ALL, ceck carefully your cables or more good to buy a lot of resistor and build you cable.... other this you are at 70% of good result....

There can be several reasons - problem with cable (cable can has incorrect resistor, resistor value should be 523-525 kOhm exactly); problem can be with Box COM port (try to use another Box as UART interface); phone's firmware doesn't allow to connect the device via UART - re-flash the phone with another firmware (don't downgrade phone's firmware version, write the same version or higher to avoid problems).
