Samsung G900T running 5.0 PC Not detecting the COM ports [Solved] - GSM-Forum

Hi,

I have a smsung S5 G900T running Android 5.0 .. i have set the *#0808# to DM+MODEM+ADB .. but the pc does not detect the com port, restarted PC and phone multiple times. USB port seems working, i was able to put to download mode and Root it with ODIN. it charges ok, just no com port comes up.

anyone knows if this is android 5.0 related? or the phone's charge port fault? or if it's a driver issue?

downgrade to 4.4.2 brother then you can unlock/repair.

Hello.

Currently no solution for phones on Android 5.x. Mr. CHEZRACHID is right, You need to downgrade the phone to Android 4.x.

i have one of this set. the problem is de conector . From Tmobile (the amoled have a little crash, and port not work.

Your set charge Normally?

ok. .downgrade works... i was just curious why this 5.0 disabled all the com ports?

Ports are disabled in Android 5.x.x by default by developers. We research the solution how to enable it.
