Still running into weirdness working with this device. I am trying to work through them. I can't seem to get it to do much, Read Info works on all tabs, but all operations fail. The read security fails, but if I use the android/efs tab, the read security works fine.

I interestingly have to use the Manual Input because the device name is coming back:

Platform: Samsung Android
Selected port: COM8
Selected model: SGH-I497
Warning: Selected model (SGH-I497) differs from the detected one (SAMSUNG-SGH-I497)!
If you want select (SAMSUNG-SGH-I497) as (SGH-I497) model, please check "manual select".
Reading security failed.

Using manual input fixes this.

This error means there new (currently unsupported) security type in the device. Try to perform the Unlock operation, not Read codes.

I tried it with the current firmware, and it didn't actually unlock. I am going to run the unlock a few more times and see if it works.

I am wondering it if would help to flash one of the stock firmware from bootloader to clean up the name mismatching errors. Would need to re-root the device, but maybe that will help. I can always upgrade it to 4.1.2 gain after the operations.

The best solution seems to be to downgrade to 4.0.4. The unlock and read codes functions work fine in 4.0.4. The posted 4.0.4 firmware, in the repo, would not boot on my device. I ended up installing CWM and installing a old CWM flashable 4.0.4 image.

Read Codes (Successful)
Unlock Phone (Successful)
