How do I get the smart card to install properly? Please guide me. I can unlock phones but to make a backup of this I need the smart card to get installed and working. There's a sign in Device Manager on it indicating that it's not installed properly.

drivers are in Support, just find the ones that suite Scard reader you are using.

about sign in device manager, if is exclamation yellow symbol, and sw is working so, this will not affect and you can work with sw...
just go Backup tab, and do backup...it should work

It was the smart card driver issue. I solved it by installing the generic microsoft smart card driver.

How do I post the file here? When I try to upload the attachment it says invalid file.
