vodafone 889n 4.4.2 unlocked - GSM-Forum

hello team,
i have unlocked several pieces of this model, but this one is android 4.4.2 and i think it is not supported.

i had to root with other tool, sigma could not root, but still unlock fails
i also followed the steps for this model in website and in following link

but by disabling MTP the phone com port does not show up in the list. I have to re-enable USB debugging mode from developer options, then I can start the process

@ rajum1,

please check this 2 manuals.

Enable diagnostic port

Select "Android ADB" platform from the tab menu in the upper left side of the software.
Go to "Qualcomm" bookmark
Press "Enable Diag Port" button

Unlock

Select "Qualcomm" platform from the tab menu in upper left side of the software
Go to "Unlock" tab
Connect a phone to PC with USB cable
Install required USB Driver (only if the phone is connected for the first time)
Adjust USB Settings on the phone:
- Go to "Notifications" (by touching the notifications bar at the top of the phone's screen and dragging it down)
- Touch the USB connection notification
- Disable MTP by unticking the option from phone menu
Select "Coolpad Android Diagnostics USB VCOM port"
Press "Direct unlock" button
Wait for the message "Restarting phone... Done" to appear in Sigma dialog window; only after that turn the phone off.

hello and thank you for reply, however your suggestiones have not solved the issue

1. i have already enabled diag port
2. by disabling MTP the port is gone, I have to reenable usb debugging.
3. the name of the port/driver is ^ ROMaster Composite ADB Interface, does this have anything to do with the issue?
4. i have re rooted the phone with vroot, but still the same

any more suggestions?

You have to unlock this phone via Android Diagnostics USB VCOM. It has to appear after enabling it in Sigma sw.
Restart this phone, install all needed drivers and try once again.

Cant unlock this phone
I activated pack 1
In SIGMA software "ENABLE DIAGNOSTIC PORT" is not active
in Device manager is "ANDROID" yellow caution...what driver to choose
automaticaly manualy not any driver suite. I try win XP try WIN 7 no luck.
What the hell that phone is ???

tgsm, this phone doesn't want Pack 1 for unlocking.
You should follow a manual to unlock this phone.

tgsm, read the manual. You should enable usb debugging, then activate diag port.

As it was earlier mentioned by mcandre, it looks like unlock operation is getting performed improper, that's why such an issues appears.
Please double check carefully unlock manual, ensure that you have enabled usb debugging and activated diag port and run operation as it is signed in the manual.
