How to flash Samsung to generic firmware?? - GSM-Forum

A couple of weeks ago I had a gentleman flash something into a Galaxy s8 for me that removed the splash screen and gave the phone the ability to be able to remove any app including system apps on the phone without rooting it. Does anybody have any idea what that is what he did or anything resembling that? I buy a lot of Samsung equipment and would like to make the most of them generic if possible. Thank you in advance for any help.

it was probably rooted and you just didnt notice.
