I9100 S2 not detect sim card with pin

This a strange problem in this phone.
The phone had corrupted imei like 0049xxxxx
I rooted it and repaired imei tried it with some simcards i had without pin and worked fine.
When customer came to pickit up he asked me to test his simcard but phone does not read it.
I disablef the pin in sim card and worked fine.
What can be the problem and the solution.

Are you sure looked sim slot ok?

Yes brother simcard slot working perfect .I tested many simcards coverage and calls works great. when i introduce a sim card with pin the phone just ignore it and pass directly to the menu.
I put a sim card with pin, the phone ignored it but in the same phone i deactivated the pin request and the coverage bars showed up with the operator name and worked normal.

Hi,
this is a refurbished i9100 phone. If phone version is 4.12, phone goes off when you press power button, it does not give options to restart or power off. The only way to solve this is to flash version 2.35 only, have a nice day.

This is true brother.
Handset power off directly without giving any option.
Till now customer has not come back.i will try your solution.

i am having same problem in smasung phone
i bought mother board from samsung s6500 ,s5300 , i9100

all these phones won't read sim card wih pin
if i disactivate pin number
it reads sim card, and netwok 100%, and 3g works perfect

in above post if the version i9100version 2.3.6 yes asks pin no
if version 4.1.2 not asking pin no
