Does it run smoother than iTunes? iTunes on my PC is really heavy and slow.

Everything work perfectly except the feature of importing photos to the library. If you move a folder to the library (photos), it will replace all the existing photos for the folder you have imported.
It happens on ios 6, iphone 4s and ipad 3.

Is any of you experiencing this issue?
