Member: 15238 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 128 | it Can Be done This way ! Network Unlock Procedure 1. Obtain unlock code from Code Supplier / Carrier Help Desk. 2. Insert non-network card into device. 3. Handset will display: 'This Sim card can only be used on specific networks. Contact your service centre for unlock code'. 4. Handset also shows numeric keypad for entering unlock code. 5. Enter code received from Network operator via keypad entry. (no p or w or + or # needed) 6. Select Enter. 7. Handset displays 'PIN accepted'. 8. Handset resets and displays new network. 9. Handset is now unlocked. 10. Confirm handset registers on non-original network. I ve not personally got any such unit with me yet. But you can post the result of your experience. BR |

This is a new Nokia windows OS phone. Any traditional Nokia tool/software/box (mx, mt, ufs, fenix, best, cyclone etc. etc.) can not reset counters of such phones. In fact it is yet unknown that such counters funda applies to these phones or not. I think may be after a wrong attempt the new try would only be allowed after a certain gap or period of time. Like the early HTC Windows based phones. Br PS: i m happy to see that Mr. Bph&co has thanked the post.

Member: 50067 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 40 | did anyone even bother reading OP's question? or maybe you are thinking about it too hard? He didnt know how to get the p,w and + symbols. For anyone else reading this - press the star (*) key repeatedly and the symbol on the screen will scroll between p,w & + |

I am also interested in this phone. Can't spend too much time on it right now, but just implemented basic phone info reading in NSS. You can check the lastest release here. BTW, it seems the phone implements very little servicing functionality, it is yet to be seen if Phoenix will support it fully or Nokia will simply discontinue the whole line in few months. BR
