Red face Macbook Pro won't turn on

Hi I'm fixing a macbook for a friend and I ordered MagSafe DC-In Board 820-2565-02 Installed in and the range charge light displays on the charging lead but It won't turn on. I did notice that my part is different its a 820-2565-02 and the original part was 820-2565-A Its probably a stupid question but will this effect the macbook turning on will I need to order another part with matching number ?

Thanks and any help is appreciated

The different part numbers shouldn't matter as long as the connection to the board is the same as the old part, Have you checked the connections to the board ? Also was the computer displaying the same issue before the part was replaced ?
