how can i get 3g/4g on iphone 5s - GSM-Forum

hey guys,

For the past months I have been using my iphone 5s, locked to KDDI Japan with R-sim mini. It has worked good so far, I get phone calls and texts but I never get fast internet, I only get 2g with it. Is there any way I can get higher speeds, like 3g or 4g? I pay for data for it and I never used it with 4g so I have been basically just wasting money for paying for data I never use in high speeds. My iphone is currently running ios 7.0.6 and is locked to KDDI Japan. Which version of rsim should I buy to use 4g?

None, no chip supports 4G. You need a 64K SIM from the carrier, cut it to nano, shave off the top a bit to fit, and then you'll have 3G.

Some carriers don't even carry 3G chips anymore. What do you use?

I'm using T-mobile. This is where I got the nano card from. It says that it is custom cut. DO you think it is 64k?
