iphone 4s 16gb CDMA verizon - GSM-Forum

hi,

I've a iphone 4s 16gb locked to Verizon USA (CDMA).
I've bought R-SIM AIR for IOS7 unlock and it worked but no 3G.

Tried all possible solutions and methods recommended by R-SIM people.

Luckly today I decided to use a GEVEY Ultra S card just to see if it unlocked too and guess what... unlocked and 3G working flawlessly with no jailbreak need and no cydia package installed...

now what I wanted to understand is... what does GEVEY has different from R-SIM in order 3G worked so fine? did I have luck or this can be moved to iphone 5 / 5s / 5c with same success?

Luck as far as i can tell.

I had an ultra S that completely failed to unlock my CDMA 4s, R-sim mini did it fine (after an extensive trail and error period, better documentation would be awesome R-Sim people).

I've another Gevey Ultra S and doesn't work. Maybe there are different software cards.

I tried R-SIM 9 with no luck either. I tested 3 R-SIM Airs, and all unlocked 3G no problem. Did you choose Mode2 4Sios6 in the menu at the bottom prior to choosing US Ver? That's the only way you get 3G.

Yea most Gevey and GPP for iOS 6/6.1 work with iOS 7.

Any other thoughts on getting 3g working, tried the isamteam repo for 3g patch none worked, also tried neterteam repo 3g patch, using a 64k tmobile card on iphone 4s ios 7 sprint/verizon/atat 4s models

You bought a bad R-SIM or you didn't choose Mode2 on the SIM setup. GPP works well. Buy the 4S 6.1.3 Sprint one.

Just found this forum and could use help. I have a iPhone 4s that is Verizon. Bro-in-law gift. I am currently using on Page Plus, but would love to use on T-Mobile in U.S. To my knowledge my bro-in-law did not request an unlock from Verizon while still on their system (only unlocks sim for int'l use anyway). Don't want to jailbreak. I'm a bit confused, which R-SIM do I need to unlock for this use, the Air, mini or...? Thanks in advance for you input
