Member: 2109462 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | R-SIM8+ iPhone 4s running IOS7; no menu pop-up I recently got my R-SIM8+ in the mail. It does not work for some strange reason. My problem: I get no menu pop-up. I place my activated T-Mobile US Nano SIM card on top of my R-SIM8+ and put it in my phone like the instructions show on rsim5 website. No carrier menu appears for me. No menus at all pop up! Here's some more information about my phone: - iPhone 4s - IOS 7.0.4; fresh install - Original carrier: Verizon US - I want to unlock it to work with T-Mobile US. I have a new, activated T-Mobile Nano SIM card that I wish to use. I have tried the following things: - Taking the R-SIM8+/T-Mobile Nano in and out of the phone several times - Restarting the phone - Installing iR0seTool as per the instructions on the rsim5 website. NOTE: The iR0seTool has changed and looks different from what the instructions show... - Generating new APN using unlockit - Tried running it on a reinstalled and entirely clean IOS7.0.4 - Tried running it on jailbroken evasi0n7 Nothing works! After my phone does "Searching for service" it ends up going to "No service". And there are no menu pop-ups after I insert R-SIM8+/T-Mobile Nano. This makes me sad . What am I doing wrong? Please let me know! |

I looked into Settings -> Phone. I have no "SIM Card Application" field. I bought another nano SIM from T-Mobile and returned my old one. The new SIM does not work as well with R-SIM8+. Is there any other setting that I am forgetting to enable? Maybe some tool I need to download? | |

A lot of times, the turbo SIM will lock in and needs any active/inactive SIM card to reset the menu. If that fails, you got a dud SIM and need to order a new one. Your main issue right now is you're using R-SIM for nano with the adapter for 4S. That doesn't even get 3G. Your SIM card doesn't have the ISIS hologram on it, right? Those don't work with any unlock chip. Order a GPP or R-SIM Air if you want 3G. Did you try iRose patch in 2G mode? You will need to install a jailbreak patch from cydia.neterteam.com for 4S Neterteam iOS 7 fix if you have a Verizon/Sprint model and aren't using a 2G SIM card. For my customers, I normally just give them T-Mobile 2G SIM cards plus I jailbreak and run iFile. Chips always work with 2G SIMs for 3G mode unless they're broken chips. Even R-SIM for nano with adapter works for 3G with 2G SIM cards. The issue seems to be that you have a broken R-SIM though because no menu appears. Try a new SIM card first.
