For some reason, it show this error on wrong connection mode., will be fixed in next update.

If you select phone from list, not need to use "bypass security"
But if you want to use it for some reason, you must connect phone in right mode(brom mode).

MTK phone have 2 modes when it boot.
\\?\usb#vid_0e8d&pid_2000 aka preloader mode.
This mode is not posible to use on bypass security.

Also exists \\?\usb#vid_0e8d&pid_0003 aka brom mode.
This mode need to be used on bypass security.
Phone will enter in this mode, if you will

If you continue to try preloader mode, it will not work for you.
It's not phone problem, it's not exe problem.
Just perform right connection and all will be ok.

In your case we have wrong connection mode, and no matter how many times you will try.
Untill you will not connect phone corectly, it will not work.

Bypass security need to use if you want to service secure boot phone, but you not have auth or da loader(custom loader).
Usually secure boot phones will not allow to boot without "custom loader"
In this case can be used "bypass security" and connect phone in brom mode.
If phone is listed, inside exe have included already this "custom da" and not need to use this function.
If you still want, you can use this function always, it will not do any harm.
Just need to connect phone in right way.

In fastboot mode, will accept frp only on unlocked bootloader.
If bootloader is locked, you can't use fastboot.
Need to use flash mode, if phone will not accept default loader, need to make custom loader using phone firmware.
After you can reset frp.
