SMS sending with chip

Hi!

I want to connect mobile phone with electric thermometer. I wonder using a special chip as an adapter between two devices.

The information from thermometer will be passed to GSM phone and sent by SMS.

Does anyone know, how to send a simple SMS, I need the code, which will be put into the chip. Any source would suit. I will convert it to assembler. By the way, which brand of GSM phones is the easiest to program?

Thanks indeed.

Lightbulb

Hi

The best for sms application i think is mitsubishi trium because is cheap and has very good modem included which supports text sms. You can try with old sagems like 93x series but you have to keep alive the connection with the phone because sagems cut the connection after few seconds if no traffic is detected.

Or you can use any other phone which supports pdu sms protocol but it's more complicated to write pdu sms than simple plain text.

regards

Ericsson mobiles with built in modems are the best!
Ericsson Mobility site has full AT command-sets (I was playing with my SE T68i the other night )
