Member: 1932520 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 4 | is kitkat unrootable in the factory-meta-ate modes? i'm looking for a way to root MTK CPUs with kitkat 4.4 android on the FACTORY-META-ATE modes. As you know, many MTK devices have one or MANY MODES. Factory mode----> booting with volume down + power ((most devices boot that way)) META mode -----> boots throug a software ATE mode ------> boots through a software too These modes ALL have ADB DEBUGGING ENABLED BY DEFAULT,,,which allows to unlock them easily without enabling DEBUGGING in the setting mode ((since the device is locked)) Now,it is very easy to root MTK with 4.2.2 android,,,no matter if it's an MT6572 OR MT6589...BUT THE 4.4 ANDROID doesnt allow you to root through adb as long as you dont grant it the RSA fingerprint the device gives '' adb devices"" -----"offline'' Now,,,the kitkat can be rooted easily with iroot,,,,BUT ONLY WHEN THE DEVICE IS FULLY BOOTED AND NORMALLY FUNCTIONNING. In the factory-meta-ate modes you wont be able to root them because the DEVICES WILL BE ''OFFLINE'' ********************************************* so what i'm looking for is : HOW TO ROOT MTK DEVICES with KITKAT 4.4 ANDROID when they are in the FACTORY - META -ATE modes ******************************************* thank you |

Member: 1932520 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 4 | very interesting. I was thinking about this method. A way to either FLASH or TEMPORARLY boot a custom file on the phone. Or even FLASH/boot a file that modifies the setting of the device and ENABLES DEBUGGING just the time to unlock it. I think i saw method on BST MTK pattern removing google this and watch the video ''MTK tab pattern remove without usb debug by BST Dongle"" check at 1:18....you'll notice that BST backs up the boot of the phone,,then writes something in the phone,,,then the phone boots normally with ADB DEBUGGING enabled. i dont know which development team you are into, but i hope you wont get angry because i brought BST HERE |
