K800 & W850 not working on all networks after nulocking

I got a K800 and W850 unlocked from somebody both on Vodafone (working and fine). But after unlocking they take other network simcards but cannot make and receive calls? But still making calls ok on the original network (i.e Vodafone).

Please guide me what might be the solution to come out of this situation. The fella who unlocked the phone says the phones are bared but to contradict his claim Phones are working wonderfully on originally network i.e Vodafone.

    Best Regards.

Yes i got one of these units also. The solution is in flashing the GDFS however you can't just read the GDFS from one non voda working unlocked phone and the flash it to your voda. It may cause imei problems and all locks closed. I am trying to find from Davinci team if they can modify the GDFS file from the phone to remove the restriction. Will post as soon as i get more info

Its a well know fact that Vodafone and sometimes other UK and US providers construct their firmware in such a was prevent calls on other networks in their region. (ie no calls on 900/1800 in Europe or no calls on 850/1900 in the US). The solution is usually a generic flash, however with SE phones the feature is in the GDFS section so the flash would have to modify that region. The problem is with W850 and other DB2020 phones i have not seen any generic GDFS flash files. We need the DB2020 unlock servers to implement a GDFS update to remove the restriction.

Yes phone is definitly unlocked. It makes calls on US networks but only Vodafone for 900/1800 Mhz networks. Voda usually has this restriction built into the firmware.

For starters never touch GDFS, if you do, is going to brick your phone; maybe is related to 3G settings
