T610 Firmware upgrade - GSM-Forum

I have just purchased a T610 from the US and it was T-Mobile branded. I have a Terminator Dongle on it's way and have all the software I need to flash it so that I can get rid of the T-mobile menus etc. But I think I read somewhere that you have to flash the phone with the same software version that is installed. Now, I live in Norway, and I would like to get Norwegian languaga on the phone and I have the RC3002_EU4 file. On the phone, ths software installed is R1S001, so I was wondering if anyone could tell me if this is going to mess up anything. I am planning to flash everything back into it's original state (ARM, GDF,etc...)
