2G Wifi problem: can't detect any wifi network - GSM-Forum

i searched around but couldnt find the solution for this:
everything in my 2G 8gb iphone works fine except for the Wifi;
it's NOT greyed out but it can't pick up any wifi network.
i even tried to enter the network manually but still doesnt help.
my iphone is running 3.0, unlocked using redsn0w 0.8.
plz help.

mine is the same problem and i can't find any solution yet waiting for the update by APPLE

try to reset the phones network
settings>general>reset>reset network settings

if that doesn't work try this
settings>general>reset>erase all content and settings

optional after reset:
jailbreak
unlock

(make sure u backup, u contacts pictures etc with the last reset)

i even tried to restore the phone from DFU mode but helpless

Hello I have the same but whit a 3G Iphone. Does anyboady know a solution?

hey!

put your iphone in the fridge for 10 minutes, then you can use your wifi but just for a while then it will go back to same helpless state.

it is something that is overheating in those 2g iphones that f---- the wifi.

this is after updating it to 3.0 i think and higher.

unlock your phone i with cydia don't unlock it' with yellosnow by USB i thing will fine some one try it and say it's fine

You will need to run Redsn0w more than once, sometimes have to run 3-4 times to get the Wifi working.
