after upgrading to 1.1.4, shows no service - GSM-Forum

this is my 1st iphone ever in my life
trying to unlock it.
previous ver was 1.1.2
upgraded to 1.1.4 using itunes 8.0
now when i restarted the iphone, it says to insert an unlocked and valid sim to activate it. But when i insert an valid sim (O2 in this case), it does nothing. Just shows an image of a cable and CD. And shows no service.

itunes also could not connect it.
pls help me.

update your iphone to 2.1 version!

as i said its not even connecting with itunes.

when i power on the iphone without sim, it asks for the valid sim.

when i put a valid sim, it just shows that screen with an image of cable and Cd(recovery mode as i reckon)

itunes does not shows anything.
it just shows the name of the device in the device list. does not shows any information as it should do.

i need urgent help.

try again restore by itunes 7.5.firmware 1.1.4
than use ziphone.click do it all.
your problem solved. or
use winpwn 2.5 with new firmware 2.0.2 and itunes7.7.a lot of post here
use search button.

ofcoures first you go to dfu mode.
push power and home button simultoniously.
after 9 sec release power button still push home button until your pc show new hardware detected.
than relese home button.
your phone is now dfu mode.
if you restored 1.1.4 than first you remove itunes from your pc.also itunes library(go docoment and seting my document-my music-ituns library delete manualy).
restar your pc.
install itunes 7.5.
now you can easily restored your iphone.after this use ziphone 2.6 or 3 to unlock zailbraik .just click do it all

when i click restore button, it asks me to restore to latest version and all of my data will be erased.
Can i do Shift+Restore to select desired version to select same 1.1.4 or downgrade to 1.1.2 version?

i have already read about downgrading and upgrading to other versions and use winpwn to service the phone.

if u really r a good member of this forum, just help me to solve my prob.

of else only last option i have got is to upgrade the iphone to 2.0 or higher ver and service it ( in this case i may loose all of my data)
