How do I flash my iphone 3gs to os 4? - GSM-Forum

My iphone is unlocked, but i will update it to os 4.. I downloaded it in the board.
But every time I have my Itunes an error when updating or restoring..That this update is not possible

can someone help me ?

not possible for the moment!
...people are looking to jailbreak and unlock a software that for the moment isn't for public!..
guys just wait the day, it soon will come!

You should be able to install 4.0 beta. But you have to register your phone's UDID with Apple as a developer first. Some existing developers offer this registration for you.

Be aware that 4.0 beta will update your baseband and you won't be able to jailbreak or unlock your phone. If it's officially unlocked, it will remain unlocked of course. You can downgrade to 3.1.3, but the new baseband will remain.

I was do 2 iphones, 1 3gs and 1 3g.
Sucess!!!
And my iPone 3g jailbraked sucess in 4.0 wiyh redsnow 8.5 with MAC!
Only jailbrake, not unlocked be Cydia!!

These 99$ are the official way. Yes, if you pay that you can register your iPhone (and I think 100 more) yourself. But there are so many other developers around that paid that already and offer a registration for you (for 10$ or even for free).
