How to know thetype of Iphone before flashing is it 3G OR 3GS???

if you ask the diferens of the iphone , the 3gs have 32gb its the most gb of all, and have more camera i think 3.2

if you come across a black 8Gb phone its a 3g not 3gs , and a 32gb is only 3GS

if you have a black 16gb and not sure whethe it is 3g or 3gs simply Look on the back cover of the iphone

3g has the iphone text written in grey writing
3gs has the iphone text in a shiny silver mirror finish

1 . http://www.apple.com/iphone/compare-iphones/

2. Iphone 3Gs ( has video camera builted in that means when you press camera buton you'll see in the right corner the video option ).

3. Iphone 3gs camera has autofocus ( 3g dosen't have )

4. Iphone 3gs has built in DIGITAL COMPAS ( 3G dosen't have )

5. Iphone 3gs is much faster than ( 3g )

^^ Yes, but if you do not have access to an iphones filesystem (usually thats why you flash the device) the fact that it is faster and has a compass is useless

GREY APPLE LOGO = 3G
SILVER SHINY APPLE LOGO = 3GS

simple.

Look at the very small model number on the back of the phone 3G = A1241 3G S = A1303
