by putting in dfu or nothing u will get error only by doing these as apple hv stop that services of update and restore on 3.0.1 and 3.0 u can only update ur phone to 3.1 but no jailbreak or unlock solution for iphone 3gS

so dnt wast ur time behind that by updating and restoring ok......
