Member: 931043 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Iphone 3G camera problem My "water damaged" iphone though works perfectly, shows a black display when camera is turned on, with firmware version 2.2 and shows the following message "there is not enough space on the disk to store the pictures please remove some data to create some space blah blah.." with firmware version 2.1. despite the fact that there is 6.5 GB space available. Phone is jailbroken and camere does also not work with the 3rd party applications, like Snapture etc. I opened the phone and made sure that contact of connectors are clear of any corrosion that water may have caused and reassambled making sure that all the cable connectors are intact securely, but camera would still not work. I have opened the phone up and removed the camera module!!! Now I am not sure of the following; 1) damaged camera module. (how to varify that, not sure) 2) damaged logic board (to the extent of communicating to camera module???) 3) a software issue? (seems unlikly, as I have tried restoring the firmware a number of times) Can't take it to apple as the water indicators are set off. Any help from any of you gurus is appreciated. Cheers, Z Last edited by iZaph73; 01-10-2009 at 01:48. |
