only the lens is broken

the touchsreen and lens are glued together

how to take apart without damage the toucscreen?
with hotair? temperature?

use diamond cutter used for glass cutting

hi
i used alchole spray to loosen the sticky tape.but unless the digitzer comes with the ribbon connector then it will be waste of time.

hello,i phone 3g, touchscreen and screen separate ...remove 4 screw back said to lcd slovily open......

oops, sorry guys i misread the first post ,i just read it as iphone 2g and ofcourse i use diamond cutter and extreme heat to chip of boken glass away from touch screen beneath and have to remove adhesive rubber in between (mind it its very time consuming use this method as a lot resort because now all iphone screens are easily available)and dear costy gsm ,i wasnt dreaming ,but 1 thing is sure i made a mistake in reading the post . and if we compare 2g and 3g iphones ,3g iphone is a piece of cake when it comes to disassembly and @ brother x_gsm u can easily change glass and touch screen if its available in your area but if u still think u want to change only he upper glass u can change it the way i do with proper caution and precision---regards-cpukiller

For 3G digitizors, Best way is to use a pre-heater until the glue becomes tacky, then peel it off. 2 mins at about 200 should do it, Be very careful of the LCD screen though.
