iPhone 3G problem...please help - GSM-Forum

I have an iPhone 3G 8GB with a problem. When i keep it connected to the charger it works fine, i can use it, but when i disconnect it from the charger it instantly turn of and not power on back ti'll i connect it back to the charger. It's not working with usb cable connected to the PC, it's working only connected to the charger.
The phone has been drop in water and conected after that to the charger by a person who does not know what happen to it, i guess this is the reasom of this problem.
Anyone knows what can i do to it or what is the problem?

i gues u shouldn't Try to power it on or charge it from the start
open it &CLean water &Check if problem gone
change battery if the same u got hardware problem check hardware
