sms tone

The first thing to know is that the format that the iPhone supports ringtones for text messages. Caf How can we convert. Mp3 or any format to another format. Caf? As follows:
1. Open the iTunes library and add to the file you want to convert. F to have him tone for messages.
2. Now we stand in the top toolbar of iTunes where it says "edit", we're at the end of the options and give you a "preferences" where we leave a window.
3. Select the "Advanced" tab, then "import" and then click the option called "import using" select "AIFF Encoder." We "OK" to accept the change.
4. After that, what we do is just add to our library the file you want to convert. Already in our library, select the file and go back to the top bar of iTunes. We get into "Advanced" and select "Convert Selection to AIFF." And will automatically add the top of the library.
5. Now we need to locate where he saved our file in our PC. For this select the new file converted and added to the library and give it right and then select "Show in Windows Explorer." We open a window where the file will appear. Preferably we copy and paste it into another folder easily accessible. Example: Under "My Documents" folder or in any previously created.

6. The file is when we realize format. Aif
7. If you do not see the format type in the name (must see) what we must do is open "My Computer" or any Windows window to give us access to the top toolbar and go to "Tools" and then select "Folder Options ...." Now in the window that opens select the tab "view" and in the list below look for "hide file extensions for known file types" and uncheck the recuadrito next door and we accept. Now if we can see the format of our files.
8. After having everything ready, just select the file format created and developed. Aif, we give you right click and choose "rename." In this case but change the name. Aif to. Caf. (Later changed his name) We will get a warning message, we give "yes" and presto, the file will be in the correct format to be added as a message tone.
9. Now you are ready to file the only thing to do is put it to iPhone. Remember that the iPhone lets you select only 6 tones for our messages and we will have to overwrite the existing file with this one. Why say "overwrite? Because the default name of the tones of the iPhone are as follows "sms-received ()" where "()" is a number to differentiate the 6 shades available and "none" listed in our iPhone. So the file that will convert just to rename it to "sms-received ()" where "()" is a number from 1 to 6. Keep the same way will. Caf at the end of the name.
10. To put it in the iPhone just need a SSH program to see the folders inside the iPhone and iBrickr (software provided). For installation and use of the program, see end of document.
11. When you open the program we will go the route System \ Library \ Audio \ UISounds \ where you will find a list of files, including about 7 starting with "sms-received ()"

12. Already located in the correct folder within our iPhone, we give now to the button on the left and look for the file you just convert to. Caf to enter. We select and we accept.
Ready! Now all we need do is put us directly on our iPhone in Settings / Sounds / New text message and test (play) which selected files by writing to quit and enjoy the ringtone for text messages.
