Problem with Iphone 3G - GSM-Forum

I have a brand new Iphone 3G version 3.1.2 and baseband 5.11.07 when i use wifi i can't find any connection.

could it be software problem or hardware problem???
how to check ?
how to fix?

Check if the WIFI option is open, and make sure the network is ok for search.
Sometimes the wireless SSID is hidden for security reason.

If both are ok, maybe there's something wrong with your iPhone.
