save SHSH & ECID - GSM-Forum

hello all,

I see many peopel speack about saving this key ( or file ) for downgrade the handset if some one update it, but how about save this file, I use search button and find I need fin this :

save ECID.gif

so I have one 3Gs old boot jailbreked on v 3.1.2, but I don't find this for save the SHSH, anny one can help me pls ?

I think this button you mention was for earlier versions of Cydia. If you see an image like this:

Then this means that you already have saved the 3.1 and 3.1.2 version saved on the Cydia (Saurik) server. With the umbrella tool you can copy it to your own PC (just in case their server gets lost or so). If you have version 3.1.2 there, this means that you can always downgrade to version 3.1.2 in case you update. Be aware that you never can downgrade the baseband (depending on the hardware you have) and the newest baseband cannot be hacked right now.
