Some advice on 3.1.2 apple

guys i have a 3.1.2 apple 3g phone
I have
1. Used blackrain to install cydia
2. installed cydia

now whats the next thing i do to unlock this
if i use red snow 0.8 and browse 3.1.2 ipsw it says unrecognised bla bal

obviously as u can see i am still learning how to do appple phones so please can you guide me

first of all what baseband version do you have??

i have iphone 3GS but is not jailbreak but in testmod how can i recover

and baseband verison is 4.26 and phone verison is 3.1.2

go to SETTINGS --- ABOUT--- GENERAL

check modem firmware.

if 5.xx.xx cannot unlock.

You are almost there after you have done 1 & 2. After that check your baseband because 05.++ can not be unlocked, if so try to search fuzzyband in cydia run fuzzyband to downgrade your baseband to 04.++ provided the bootloader is 05.08. Don't worry fuzzyband will display this info when you run it. If successful you can unlock your iphone

iphone still in testmode my pc window is xp how can i jailbreak this version

use the custom FW i added, its got cydia.

then do blackra1n then unlock with ultasn0w
