Here in philliphines with iphone 3g v2.2 firmware 2.28 can done direct full unlock also jailbroken.and iphone 2g any version up to 2.2.1 can unlock direct and jailbroken.but with iphone 3g v2.2.1 firm./baseband 2.30 bootloader 5.8 have to downgrade the firm./baseband to 2.28 so that can unlock.hope this help.thanks. And that is free.in any forum just do search.adios.
