UART Cable doesn't work, "port is not responding".

I tried to unlock a Samsung Galaxy Exhibit on Eastlink (also the T-Mobile model), but it didn't work. I tried the UART cable on 3 different computers on Windows 7 and Windows 10 with the UART driver installed, but Chimera Tool said the "port is not responding".

The unlock required the UART cable, because the program said to switch the cables. The UART cable did not recognize the phone. The ports COM3 and COM13 were tried, but it didn't work.

Is it a problem with the driver, the UART cable, or something else

Dear Sir,

if it is possible please try again with an another UART cable+box. For example you can try with Z3x box+the uart cable of the box.

Best regards

I used the Chimera UART cable from your website. I don't have a Z3X box.

Dear Sir,

sorry for the late answer, our developer team worked on that problem. We tested many cables on many phones etc..
We faced issue in some case.
When you know Samsung has many difference phones, for example you can buy S4 but the producer created many difference S4 models.
Because of this in some case you could not replace the box+uart cable option with the chimera uart cable.
Really sorry for the inconveniences, but we are working on it.

Thank you. It's a coincidence how there are only 16 models where the Chimera UART cable isn't supported, and I happened to have one of those unsupported phones

Dear Sir,

At the moment we know about that 16 models, but naturally can be more models too. We try to find the all not supported model, and continuously update the list.

Best regards

Dear Sir,

could you write us more information about the problem?
You connected the uart cable when the software asked it, and the software not recognized it?

Best regards
Nicole
