If you have uart cable switch CSC type to XAS with AT commands: First, enter *#0*# on the keypad for diag mode. Plug it in and out a few times with a 500Kohm cable to enable diag mode on the phone. In GCPro select the correct uart port, then enter "AT" a few times to get the "OK" response back. Enter: AT+PRECONFG=2,XAS To verify the CSC enter: AT+PRECONFG=1,0 If you got don't have uart but DO root you can do this another way with any sprint phone - ADB Command with supersu: Adb shell su with eng root Adb shell echo "XAS" > /efs/imei/mps_code.dat Doing this removes boot animations and might enable apn if you don't have apn menu available currently. |

IF for some reason neither of those CSC changes enable the APN editor, you also try using some shortcut maker (ex. Quick Shortcuts) and search for each of these words separately "LTE", "ROAM", "APN", go through all the various activities, and sometimes even searching for keyboard codes works. Just want to remind, always try CSC mode first, then use the shortcuts as a last resort, with or without root (of course root is preferred).

Unfortunately the 160 character split message issue is caused by the messaging app which is baked into the firmware, so the easiest solution is just to install some 3rd party messaging app like Android Messages, Handcent SMS, Chomp SMS, Pulse SMS, Textra SMS, etc. Or if the built-in messaging has a setting option like "Combine messages" try turning it on. There are ways to fix the built in messaging app too, but it's messy, need to root it then modify the system settings database, so I'd suggest to stick with a 3rd party app.
