Please help me out with my o2 mini

had installed the mp3 patch required for the o2 mini to play mp3 as ringtones.... it was woring fine.
Yest. i was trying out a few softwares, like fonix voice, and audionotes etc.. i installed them and uninstalled a few. After that somehow i cant play the mp3 as ringtones. I re-installed the mp3 ringtone patch, but i am not able to use mp3 as ringtone. I added the mp3 file in the RINGS section of the Windows folder. and when i click on it i get this error msg " There is no application associated with ' file name'. Run the application first, then open this file from within the application. Earlier i could see the windows media player lcon in front of the mp3 files, which i cant see anymore.....
I use the ppod application for mp3s.... and the ringtones were working fine, but i dont know what i did, but now its not working. Help me out. I think i must have accidentally deleted some file.
I can still play the mp3 songs on the media player and the ppod, but cant use them as ringtones, i installed the Cab file of the mp3 patch.... but still its not working.. help me out on this please.
