SmartPhone/PocketPC/Windows Mobile

Are these all the same thing? I am getting a Treo 800w (runs Windows Mobile 6.1) and I'm trying to figure out which thread I need to be looking at for games/apps.

Thanks.

Hi!

If you have a device that runs windows mobile OS,then you can use PPC and windows mobile stuffs.Smartphones are with other OS(for example:symbian),those applications won't work on your PDA.
I know,it's a bit confusing this device called smartphone(maybe because of the qwerty keyboard or the smartphone design),but it is a PDA.

Well now there is a Windows Mobile for smartphones and the one for pocket pc phones is Windows Mobile Pro . If I am correct, smartphones are ones without a touch screen and pocket pc phones are the ones with touch screens.

Yes,You are right. There is Standard(for smartphone with keyboard,no touchscreen) and Professional(for PDA or smartphone with touchscreen).I just wasn't sure and usually on websites these are different categories:
1.Windows mobile,PPC,PDA
2.Smartphones
So,I think it's a bit confusing.
I don't think there are different programs for pro or standard, mostly they have to work on both of them(OS).
Btw,your comment is correct,I will check the smartphone sections to get some info.
Sorry if I wrote wrong infos,it wasn't intented.I use a PDA(MDA compact2),so that was my basis.
