u just need to replace a file on windows folder file name is ( rilgsm.dll )
1. sync your PPC with your computer

2. Download the attached file in this post, rilgsm.dll

3. In active Sync - hit the "EXPLORE" button

4. Double click on PPC and then on the "windows"
directory

5. Copy rilgsm.dll into that directoy , and replace
the existing one

6. Turn off the PPC and then do a soft reset - take
the stylus and breifly poke it in the "reset" hole on
the rear of the unit ( opposite side of the antena).
The unit should then reboot

7. Take out your battery- put in your sim card

8. DONE!!!!!

As far as I know, this is not confirmed as of yet, read my post above ! Still waiting for member mafiaaa to confirm if he have done and tested this !

yes it works tested a time ago but when u do hard reset phone will be locked again

In your instructions you talk about replacing a DLL file, but the file used to replace the DLL file has a different file extention. Can you explain

Here is a files u will need

In the downloaded instructions it says "as long as the IMEI you provided me is the one from your phone and is correct........"

Does this mean it is a unique (IMEI based) unlock method as it is for Audiovox SMT5600?

imei-check encodes their unlock keys to your IMEI. They will not work with other IMEIs.
