You need only 5 (RB6, RB7, MCLR, Vdd, Vss) connections from it.
Build your JDM first and get it working.
Then I'll post you a easy way to get your FPS-XP updated.

ok i am about to build jdm using attached scheme...
but:
1/ is it ok to use bc182L transistor instead of bc547b?
2/ can i have pin out of prodigy mcu or just the pin numbers of needed pins?
3/ can u post tested working hex for me?
4/ where to download software for writing pic?
5/ do i need to connect to the internet to update the dongle? i think my serial is blocked by prodigy team...

i think this is all for now..

1. Not sure about the compatibility.
2. I'll give you pin numbers after you build your JDM
3, 4, 5, All files can be downloaded from www.prodigybox.com

First, you must get your JDM working. All other things are simple.

@no.2 search PIC18f452 datasheet and download at www.microchip.com
@no.3 question see attached, i personally tested this hex thnx to nyo.pa for sharing.
@no.4 search on the net ic-prog 1.5c to write hex on the PIC
@no.5 no need this hex is already activated but not on future prodigy updates just wait..

I could help you, but I'm in Portugal, you would have to send me the box here.
If you're going to program an FPS-XP, you can use the five small connectors in the pcb, but I think you need to enable LVP if you're going to use JDM programmer, so you'll need to put 10k from RB5 to GND.

You need only
1 x 10 pin RJ45 connecter,
1 x DB25 Female connector,
1 x JDM programmer.

No need to put 10K resistor from RB5 to GND.


No more messy work!!!!!
