L6 Dead, Keypad light turns on for 5 sec.

Hi,

I've been trying to fix L6, which upon being powered on brings up keypad backlight for 5 seconds and then again goes off. Tried almost all the flash files from the download section, fixed the boot loader, pds, IMEI, still all in vain. Can't understand what the problem could be.

Here is the log..

As it can be seen from the log, I did the following :
1. PDS Repair
2. Write Full Flash including boot area
3. Repari IMEI

This usually works for almost all the phones. Strange it ain't working for this one. I've all reasons to belive this maybe a hardware problem, but can't square on the fault.

Any ideas?

Thnx
Ayush

P.S. - With some flash files, the keypad light blinked for 20 seconds. I replaced the flash but still the same.

@ Ayush,

As can be seen from the log file, everything suppose to be ok. In case if the problem still remains the same, more likely that the set has some hardware malfunction.
Check the PCB of the phone it could have some short circuits or damaged components.

Thnx for the reply there Mr.Tinkertrain,

I would be grateful if you can throw some light on a few queries of mine.

1. Why exactly Motorola phones face this problem of keyboard light coming up when powered on and the phone doesn't get started.

2. If Flash IC is exchanged between two similar phones, then IMEI is also exchanged, so if IMEI is repaired and PDS is also fixed, the phone should theoretically work properly?

3. If there's a Hardware Problem, where can I square it?

Finally, your Hardware is worth appraisal and works like a dream. Can say it's to some extent value for money. But your download servers ain't responsive as I've seen with other manufacturers. IMHO, you should tweak it as a part of better service.

Wish you and your team all the best and way to go!
Hope my phone gets fixed. Your input would be valuable.

Unfortunately we are unable to help with the hardware malfunctions.

In case if the handset has a problem with the Flash IC and it get replaced, then such operations has to be performed.
