This one comes from an i9300. Apparently dead..

I have soldered the chip following the schematics, put 2.8v on VDDF and 1.8v on VDD.

By selecting "Scan Emmc" i got this results :

Code:

1. DO NOT USE THE PHONE"S BATTERY
2. Connect the Soldered TP Connections to ATF Box
3. Disconnect the USB Cable and Wait until the
the ATF Software will tell you to Connect the USB.

It looks like the eMMC is working, but after pressing Read eMMC, it start with a loop of infinite retry, and it does not read anything from the chip.

On ATF Software i have selected 2.8v , 7.5Mhz (also tried 15, 3.75) and 16GB, read user partition, default block size.

What can it be ?? really damaged un-readable chip ??
Thanks for your help
I have same problem like this.

This is the pinout provided by lalitjsraks (the correct) :

pin 2- 2.8v vddf
pin 5-blue cmd
pin 6-red clk
pin 7-brown gnd
pin 8-green data0

And this is what i’ve found inside gpg cable, coming from RJ45 , i had to open it losing my warranty because i never received support from GPG team.. very bad !!

pin 1 (white) - 5V usb (used to make 1.8v and 3.3v) AND cmd !! oh my ***
pin 2 (red) - not connected, cable CUT
pin 3 (yellow) - clk
pin 4 (orange)- jtag TDO
pin 5 (green) - data0
pin 6 (black) - jtag TCK
pin 7 (brown) - gnd (wow! at least one good)
pin 8 (blue) - jtag TMS

So if you use this cable without modifications, the connection with the emmc doesn’t work.
I don't know also if VCC 5v connected to CMD line can damage the emmc.

If you break this line you loose the 1.8v voltage regulator and you have to use an external power supply. At this point.. it is better to build an interface yourself.

GPG Team please correct me if i am wrong, and supply a decent user manual with your products.
I think here you can see more good work of @laptopmd for modific Bad adapter from gpg:
