Check green fuse on top of battery connector but on the other side of the board. If fuse is open make jumper with thin wire

Do you have a microscope? If yes check wifi ic at the back of the board if there are any cracks?

Do you have any history on the phone? Dropped or water damage?

Wi-Fi grey could also mean that power is not being supplied into the wifi module.

Could you please check if you have bluetooth?

Wifi and bluetooth coexist in the same module but still have different power lines. But if bluetooth works this could mean that the module has adequate connection on board

Bluetooth is working fine. However the compass does not have to do with the gps as they are different ics. What baseband version you have installed? Usually 6.15 (ipad baseband) has issues with gps and compass.

Go out somewhere where the iphone has direct light and check gps whether it locates you or not. If it even doesnt locate you it could be a problem with the diplexer filter which is on the back of the board

5.16 is the official 5.0.1 baseband version. Try to reset network settings and delete the locationsd cache so that the gps will recreate the triangulation and hopefully get the exact lat lng coordinates

Delete the folder locationd from the folder below:
/var/root/Library/Caches/locationd

It will rebuild itself upon the next location request
