Befor starting to change things could not be the cause of the deffect , that time after all the effort and cost U'r forced to follow the basic rules !.
Check the headset detect line pathway (From headset socket to the UEM), download a service manual and follow the schematic , also check the internal SW inside the headset jack ( it is allways ON ).
