unlocking p10 bootloader: phone not found

Hello, I bought credits for unlocking bootloader of my Huawei p10 plus and installed the drivers and hcu client.
Then I connected the phone to my pc and put it in manufacture mode.

When I click "Read phone info", I get the error message "phone not found!"

I have installed the drivers and also HiSuite but Hisuite does not find the phone as well. When phone is in MTP mode, my computer detects the phone correctly and I can access the files and in device manager is no error (only hisuite and HCU client don't find it).

In manufacturer mode I only find "VKY-L09" under other devices in the device manager (and with exclamation mark)
Under Com ports I find nothing new...

kikas112 02-03-2020 11:30

So phone is not in manufacturer mode, unplug cable use code dial for menu and select manufacturer mode, pług cable

yes, I did this already and the manufacture mode is definitely activated (only then the device manager shows VKY-L09 under other devices. When it is in MTP Mode, it shows the phone under portable devices)

What do you mean by

I also tried it on the computer of my wife and it shows the same problem...

Right click on your device in device manage, select uninstall, reconnect to pc, put it in manufacture mode, it should reinstall drivers automatically if hisuite is installed. I suspect other drivers were installed or there is something wrong with manufacture mode insertion on mobile itself.

I tried it, but as soon as I connect it again, it comes back in the same way (showing the device VKY-L09 with the orange exclamation mark)
It seems, that the drivers for the Phone in MTP Mode are correctly installed, but not for the manufacture mode. I have HiSuite installed and also the manual driver installation from Huawei... What else could I try?

You can manually apply drivers for that line with exclamation mark.

how can I do that? The driver file I downloaded from Huawei was an executable file (DriverSetup exe)
When I select the folder of it in the windows driver installing menu, it sais that there were no drivers found to install...

You will have to find executed drivers that could be applied manually.

You should simply apply whole folder with all drivers inside it, system should pick correct ones.

unfortunately it doesnt. It sais, that VKY-L09 couldnt be installed and that windows could not find drivers for it. Thats why I thought, I should install the drivers manually...

Any Idea, what else I could try?
I'd be really grateful!

Can only try from different pc with different os. Or check how to disable driver signature check online on current windows.
