Do you offer this service in the US? Or Will I have to ship parts to you?
Thank you!

What are you using to remove the old optical adhesive? On Samsung phone's its easy but iPhone 5 OCA is a pain. I have tried a few chemicals but it takes forever and they sometimes spill under the LCD and cause staining on it.

Anyone willing to share info on effective method of removing the optic adhesive from the iPhone 5 LCD after glass is removed?

Impressive. I could never do this however.

Even with the 3G/3GS, it was almost impossible to reinstall it without getting some dust or dirt. Wiping off with a cloth always left a haze even.

Let's get this up and going again.

So I've got the glass separated. That's not an issue.

I've got the liquid glue, that's not an issue.

I can lay down the glass with no bubbles, that's not an issue.

I need suggestions on how to lay the glass down and what I can do to put around the border to prevent seepage into the LCD backlight. I've tried tape, this stupid putty from a video I watched and a couple other things. Nothing is working. The runoff isn't a problem. I just need a better way to get the runoff to not seep into the backlight. Help? IRepairUK?

Anyone?

Here's where I'm at so far

Anyone? I'm having the same problem. The OCA liquid keeps seeping into the backlight...

I recommend removing the back light panel completely before applying the new adhesive. It comes off easily enough with a little heat.

You can buy a mould for this but the best way is to take off the filters from the back and reinstall after the screen has baked.
