8210 - 8250 wont work - GSM-Forum

Hello, I have tried converting my 8210 ROM6 to 8250 following a few different guides and always end up with same problem, constant reboots / has SP logo but no reception. I cant use Eeprom repair for Nokia DCT3 phones or NK_CALC so have been using rolis and Knok22.

Can anyone help or suggest anything?

Try Nokia Tool 3.03 if Eepromtools 3.1 & nc_tool aint workin!

Still same problem

. Maybe my flash files are dodgy? The first file I flash is 1,900,544 bytes and teh eeprom is 196,608 bytes, that sound right?
Also, after I flash the first file using Knock22 I then have to use Rolis 4.77 to flash the eeprom because it wont work in Knock22, and when I flash in Rolis it says mobile type is wrong, but flashes it still ?

Any help ?

Hi,
try with rollis Flasher478b6 at mudboy site!
- Fullflash(200000-400000) with 8250 fls file
- Use Nk-calc press F1,F2,F3.
- unlock your phone with nokia tool.

u can boot your pc in safe mode and use nk_calc

u should just use rolls 4.71/4.77/4.78b6

do all flashing in rolls, do mcu+ppm (v3.12) latest ver not always work properley

also after everything i.e flash ppm/mcu and flash eeprom with 8250 virgin eeprom, the reboot safe mode and use nk_calc to do imei, sp data, and auth id.

then make sure you do a factory reset i.e restore factory settings

this last thing should clear your problem

I done mine on the 14/05/02, flashed phone with 8250 MCU and PPM using NWorkshop, then used Rolis to flash Virgin EEprom to phone from 3d0000 to 400000, switched to M2Bus and used Eeprom tools to update FAID, IMEI and Unlock SP's, full factory, and have no probs.

Thanks for all the replies. nk_calc still wont work in safe mode, get same error 'bad connection', but the cablse work in other software ?
But I finally done it

, I had to use 8250mcu+ppm version 5.04 though, couldnt find 3.12 but would very much appriciate it if some one could send me it?

Update* Has the ringtone name problem now, where it says type 1 type 2 etc, not to much of a biggie, any suggestions?
And have also ran into that same problem with a 3310, any suggestions there? I first flash 3315 full flash (2MB) then flash 3310 v5.47ppm and mcu, then change imei/unlock/update faid.
