9110 connectivity

My 9110 appears to be screwed,

Has 'Contact service' on the front screen,

I have tried a factory reset (tab, shift and right arrow key as inserting battery) and that cleared everything and went through setup again. All that succeeded in doing was whiping all the data and settings. It didnt get rid of the Contact Service error.

I have searched the forums for advice (I can't seem to find the search forums option anymore, has it been removed?) and went and bought the required data cable. Got some software with it Rolis 1.8.exe, nokiatool035.exe, EepromTools.exe, and thought I was ready to go.. except that it wont connect to my phone.

Did another search and found a thing called UserPort 1.0 .. set that up, still same problem of 'phone not connected' error messages on all software.

I d/l the nokia software (PC Suite for Nokia 9110 Communicator) and that connects fine. But I still don't get any joy with the others (so I know the cable actually works)

Anyone got any info that could help me here, im tearing my hair out trying to get this damn thing to work again.

Also my phone wont charge up anymore, this has only been going on since the Contact Service error message startd apearing.
