I have done with a flash file from 200000 to 3d0000 and i continued with virgin EEPROM of 8290 BUT i am getting ' CONTACT SERVICE ' on screen. What can i do? I upgraded my 8210 to 8250 , 8850 and even to 8890. And now i want to try it for 8290. Please can anyone help me to find FULL flash from 200000 to 400000 of 8290 Or, Help me to upgrade my 8210 to 8290 Please help !!!!!!!!!!!! [email protected] |

Member: 10585 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Hi PPL! You can't upgrade your 8210 to a 8210 cause the 8290 works on a different frequency and different standard.8210 is for GSM 900/1800 MHz and 8290 only for 1900 MHz. Greetz D from G! |

Member: 2575 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | @Mehvishal.. It's the same prob - it's not possible. By the way ... you've upgraded an 8850 to 8890 ? The 8850 works even on 900MHz + 1800MHz ... but the 8890 on 900MHz + 1900MHz. The Cobba from 8850 is a different as at 8890. |

Member: 2575 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | 8210, 8250 and 8850 are dual-band mobiles, working with 900/1800MHz 8890 is also dual, but working with 900/1900MHz 8290 is designed for USA, working with 1900MHz only What's different? 8210 -> 8250 ... difference of software and Hardware (you can convert a 8210 to 8250 only if your 8210 has a mhm-rom 6 (imei starts most at 350..) ... the most have rom 5) ... also some language probs can be tread there. 8210 -> 8850 ... also difference of software and Hardware. The case of 8850 (positions and distance of keys) and much more are different. |
