How I unlocked a 3310 5.11 with lock1+4 - GSM-Forum

Don't know if this is an achievement or something but... anyway here it goes.

I had a 3310 4.24... I flashed it with 5.11, used bph&cos logger and updated the flash auth id with the logger.

Unfortunately it had been partially unlocked and I couldn't close one lock to FFFFF without resetting the other...

After several experiments here's what I've done...

Flashed again to 4.24 and restored the original eeprom.

Partialled it with rollis...

With rollis I clicked on "Lock1,4" which closed locks 1+4 to FFFF and FFFFFFFFFFF (didn't even know this was possible with older firmwares, thought it'd only be possible with newer-three-phase-unlock ones)

Flashed 5.11 again

Updated again with log result.

Voilá...

3310 4.24 locked 1+4 -> 3310 5.11 unlocked

I wonder if I could do this as a substitute for "true" downgrading...

Hello,

If you use my partial flash, you can use WinLock to lock 1 and 4 to ??????.... In Nokia Tool, this is equivalent to FFFFF... Somtimes you will get error in WinLock, but this is ok... try again after phone reboots and try playing with FACTORY to USER...
