Phone comes on at start of flash??!! - GSM-Forum

Can anyone tell me why some nokias turn on when you start to flash them and is there a way around it, i am having this problem more often and it is not good at all many thanks in advance Sonic GSM

Hi, maybe you press the button too long.
Have you tried a shorter press?

Hi Sonic, I have this problem too. Some guy told me it was the battery contacts inside the 8210 clip but I can use the same battery on 3 phones, two of them will unlock and the third will just switch on. I've only had it happen with 8210 so far.

Hello guyes it's a software problem...Try to slow your pc or using dejan software apply 5volt from baterry direct to the 74hc

That can be only in 3210 phones with cable with Vcc power, but the only thing that you must do is turn off the phone just before of push flash button.
Ihave the 3210 connector with Vcc power and this happens to me always, the phone turn ON just when I connect the cable, but i turn OFF and then flash the phone without problems.

Another thing I noticed is instead of pressing the power button you can connect the charger try that it may start the flasing process without powering on the phone.

With both software NU2000 and Dejan flasher with Green Shell, the phones will not flash. Dejan responds with 'phone not respond'

This only happens with 8210 for me

Hi all And thanks for your help, as yet i have not found a solution to this problem, but let me tell you what is happening, when you press enter to start flash you dont get a chance to power up the phone as it comes on by itself this is of course very annoying as you cannot then flash the phone. I can also tell you that i have had this problem on 3210 3310 8210 phones so come on you guys who has the solution to this problem? Thanks in advance Sonic!!
