Take off the white sticker that had the press buttons from the flex cable then clean all of them & the pads on the flex cable too, all gonna be OK, good luck ...

Do I just have take the white sticker out? Honestly i'm not a technician and I don't do repair jobs. I also don't have the tools not even the lil screw drivers. How do I take off the flex cable? It seems that the flex cable is connected into something inside the phone. Please understand my ignorance. Thanks.

No man, just take off the white sticker not the whole flex cable, no need at all to unscrew or disassemble the set !!!
Just get the sticker warm some with such hair dryer then pull it out, do the cleaning job then stick it again in proper position, good luck ...

Ok. How do clean it? Can I use tissue paper or a piece of cloth? Will the sticker still stick after it was pulled off?
